Wagamama Vegan Food Review

Wagamama Vegan Menu Review

By now, you must know the news – Wagamama have launched a vegan menu! It’s a separate menu, featuring all of your veggie and vegan Waga faves, plus some delicious new additions to meet the needs of the fast-growing vegan population here in the UK.

Myself and the non-vegan co-diner were invited to an event to celebrate the menu launch, on launch night, to see what we thought about it all!

Purezza – Brighton and London Vegan Pizza Review

Purezza Best Vegan Pizza in Brighton

I’ve been going to Purezza since they first launched, and they’ve gone through quite a few menu improvements and physical restaurant improvements over the last couple of years. However, I’d not been since the last facelift, so was excited to be invited to give their newest menu a try! And yes, I brought my non-vegan co-diner with me!

Now, Purezza sell themselves as ‘plant pioneers’ – unlike some of the vegan pizza places in Brighton that I’ve previously reviewed (such as Morelli Zorelli and Fatto a Mano), Purezza is purely plant based, so everything served there is vegan. So if you’re vegan, have dairy or egg allergy or intolerance, you need not worry about cross contamination or anything like that – Purezza is safe for you. They also have lots of lovely gluten free options, so if you’re a gluten free vegan, or just looking for good gluten free pizza in Brighton, you’re in luck here!

Raw Vegan Cakes and Treats From Kleen Kitchen

Kleen Kitchen raw vegan treats review

I’ve always been a bit wary of raw vegan desserts after a bad experience at a birthday meal with friends (not my birthday, I’m all about the cake!) where the cake just turned out to be flavoured nice cream on top of a nut and date base… not as nice as it had been made out to me! HOWEVER… I did know that there were some blooming awesome raw vegan cakes on the market; I’d just not been lucky to experience them yet! So I spent so long gawping at all these gorgeous looking raw vegan cakes and cheesecakes, until the lovely Nicola from The Kleen Kitchen got in touch with me, asking if I’d like to try a selection of her vegan and gluten free raw vegan cakes. Well of course I had to say yes! This was finally my opportunity to give this kind of cake a try!

May is one of my favourite months, mainly because there are two Bank Holidays, not going to lie! And on the first Bank Holiday weekend (29th April – 1st May), Brighton Foodies Festival will be in town! I really enjoy heading to Hove Lawns with my partner and dog, and having a good look around the stalls, watching some top chefs cooking delicious things, and having a look at everything that’s on offer. Of course, there’s lots of non-vegan stuff at Brighton Foodies Festival, but what about the vegan options? Read on to find out…(and to also save money on entrance!)
