National Curry Week With Hari Ghotra

Hari Ghotra National Curry Week

This week (12th – 18th October) marks the 18th National Curry Week and last Wednesday I was invited to an evening with Indian chef, Hari Ghotra.

You may have seen on my Instagram that I have enjoyed one or two of Hari’s curry kits at home before, but hadn’t had the lady herself cook for me! Well, now I’m pleased to say that I have!

It was an intimate affair, which gave us (myself, FoodieEshe, Amy Rutter and Gluten Free Dining) a chance to watch Hari’s processes and ask her all of our most pressing curry related questions!

Hari cooked lamb bhuna for the meat eaters, and I had a vegetable bhuna to enjoy! It was delicious.

We also got to make samosas, which were absolutely delicious and so simple to make! Have you ever made samosas from scratch? I much preferred them to the shop bought ones, that’s for sure!

Hari has a LOT of recipes on her website, so if you want to cook something delicious you should check it out! There’s something for everyone – whether you eat meat, are vegetarian or vegan, or are gluten free! Plus her curry kits are great too! I’ve used two now – the makhani and madras, and fully recommend them. For £3 they include all of the spices you need to make the curry for 4 people.

Are you doing anything for National Curry Week? Or are there any recipes on Hari’s website you fancy trying? Let me know in the comments below!
