As it’s Mothering Sunday (next weekend, March 10th) here in the UK, I thought I’d share some things to help you get something lovely for your own Mum!
Don’t forget to make or buy her a card…..
If you don’t craft or don’t have the time to craft, then there are lots of places to pick up a cute card. Paperchase have a great selection of Mothers Day cards, as does Scribbler (check out their Mothers Day selection!), or you could take a leaf out of Thrifty‘s book and pick up a card from a shop such as Card Factory‘s 10 for £1 selection and jazz it up with glitter, gems, beads… whatever you fancy.
Silhouette have some really cute card designs in their online store for just 65p! So if you are like me and have card and a Silhouette Cameo then there are lots of different designs that you can choose from. My favourite cards at the moment are the cut-out flower cards such as the rose bloom card, sunflower filigree card and the dahlia card.
If you are a card maker but don’t have a Cameo, why not check out this pretty flower pot card for some inspiration? There are lots of inspiring things on Pinterest – talking of which, are you following my boards on it? I’ve got a whole board of printables which you might be able to use for some of your crafts!
And for gifts….
If you’re stuck for choice on any kind of gift, why not give Inkling a try! You can search a great big database of products and narrow your search down to the type of person that your giftee is with their interests and extravagance level taken into consideration:
I’ve been helping the lovely people at Inkling out with some product suggestions… I wonder if any of you can guess which products I’ve curated for them?!
A bunch of daffodils or pretty flowers is always nice – if you’re lucky enough to have some in your garden why not pick your Mum a bunch, tie with a ribbon and give them to her with a home baked cake – a great opportunity to give my easy chocolate ganache cake a go!
What are your ideas for Mothers Day presents? If you have written a post about your choices then please don’t forget to share a link to it below 🙂
