I’m rubbish at keeping up with weekly challenges and things like that but with Lyndsay from Fizzy Peaches giving me a bit of encouragement I’m sure that I will be able to keep up with this as much as I can at least. This idea in particular was thought up by the lovely Hannah at Make Do and Push.
Anyhow, here is my week that was, through Instagram:
Sunday 21st July 2013
I usually take it easy on a Sunday and make sure that I have prepped lots of lunch things for the week ahead. I usually make cakes, biscuits and cheese scones but this week I also made kale chips using the dehydration method. I usually love kale chips but am not sure what to think about this method as they were kind of too dry if that makes sense. They taste really good crunched up and sprinkled on salads though!!
Monday 22nd July 2013
On Monday it was super hot and our office doesn’t have air conditioning – plus we are on the 8th floor of a tall building in Brighton – we had to have ice lollies! As Lucy and I went to buy them, we got to choose to buy our favourites – obviously Fabs and Twisters are ideal as they are both ice cream and ice lolly!! Yum. I also picked up a can of one of my favourite drinks – lemon San Pellegrino – for the journey home as the train we catch doesn’t have air conditioning! As you can see for dinner I had veggie chilli
Tuesday 23rd July 2013
On Tuesday I was rather lazy but took a few pictures! I had pasta with mushrooms and tomatoes, took a selfie whilst doing the bins (classy), reminisced about old music and gushed about my new robot socks.
Wednesday 24th July 2013
I didn’t do much on Wednesday apart from work and go to zumba class. I love going to zumba and I’m hoping to take on another class soon π
Thursday 25th July 2013
It was another uneventful day but here’s my dinner shot – French bread pizza with mushrooms and olives.
Friday 26th July 2013
Every Friday my colleagues and I go to Street Diner in Brighton and this week I enjoyed arepas and churros… so good!
Saturday 27thΒ July 2013
I didn’t do much apart from write a few blog posts, one of which I put live yesterday and was about my favourites things from CHA Summer 2013.
So that was my first time doing The Week That Was Instagrammed, see you again next week!!
What a lovely week, especially the ice lollies on a hot afternoon!
Thank you so much for linking up today!
Your robot socks are amazing – where are they from??
Also, kale chips sound really interesting – I'll have to google for a recipe!
Thanks again for linking up, and hopefully see you again next week π xxx
No problem π
The robot socks are from Primark and came in a cute multipack with some other funky robot socks too π
This is a great method for kale chips: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/melissa-darabian/crispy-kale-chips-recipe/index.html as the dehydrated method isn't one I'd try again – despite them being more healthy!!
I hope to join in again next week for sure!
Thank you! I must admit I'd already had an ice cream before the Fab lolly hehehe
Looks like a great week was had and I'm jealous of your pizza and churros, they look amazing!
Yay you did this post π Loved reading it. You eat such nice food everyday! I am giving it a miss this weekend as I have been poorly, waah! Hopefully be back next week though with a big update! xx
Aw I hope to see your next post though!
Yep I don't always eat the healthiest stuff, but it sure tastes good! Good food makes me happy π
Thanks! I love good food and to share it with others. I am so happy that the Brighton Street Diner is going to be held on Saturdays as well as Fridays as they are doing so well π
A great week, which is making me hungry for Fabs and Churros!
Ah looks like a lovely week x
Thanks Hannah!!
Same here, I want them again!! Hehe.
