Giving someone a personal gift, whether it’s for their birthday or Christmas, really lets them know that you are thinking of them. So when the lovely people at Orelia Jewellery got in touch with me with regards to them gifting me something to give as a Christmas gift, I knew exactly what and who for!
My partner’s niece turned 10 years old in September and she’s at that age where there’s a lot going on. She wants to seem grown up, as she is indeed, growing up. For her birthday she had her ears pierced and seems to be collecting a neat little number of pairs of earrings, but she doesn’t seem to have many necklaces. So I thought a necklace would be a perfect gift for her!
I had a look through the selection of necklaces on the website, and remembered how, at a similar age, I was given an initial necklace as a gift. It was simple, and pretty, and when I saw the silver plated Small E Initial Necklace, I knew that was something that she would really love.
The necklace came in a gorgeous printed glassine bag, which will make wrapping it easier than some pieces of jewellery that come without boxes.
I’m really hoping that she will enjoy her new necklace for years to come – not only is this necklace simple and stylish, but it’s also a timeless trend piece. I didn’t want to get her something that would go out of fashion too quickly, as due to her age she’d not have loads of opportunities to wear it until she was a little older, so this was a style I knew would last.

Disclaimer: This piece of jewellery was given to me free for consideration from Orelia jewellery, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is lovely! I find pre-teens the hardest to buy for, I’m always afraid they’ll deem whatever it is too childish! x
