I have my Silhouette Cameo back in my grubby little hands and although I’ve had a few teething problems, I am happy to confirm that I can use it again!
To celebrate having it back in my life again, I thought I’d share with you a few of the cutting files that I’ve been eyeing up in the Silhouette Store recently:
- This ‘So Happy Together’ by Echo Park
- A cute vintage camera
- An awesome T Rex
- My 3-year-old nephew is totally into puzzles right now and I think I shall use this file to make him a few puzzles of his own
- I love The Wizard of Oz, so this cutting file is something I may have to use!
- I’ve finally flung myself onto the Project Life bandwagon (fashionably late, yo) and thought these cute flower designs would look awesome in my album
Do you have a Silhouette cutting machine*? Let me know what your favourite Silhouette freebies are in the comments below!

My life has been in a state of flux for a while now, but I am starting to settle and find my feet again. Unfortunately I don’t currently have my craft materials with me, but I’m starting to make up a basic kit of bits and bobs to keep my papercrafting juices flowing so-to-speak. As I travel a lot at the moment, I thought it best to do something similar to using a SMASH book. I ordered a SMASHpen (pictured above), and some Moleskine Cahiers, and am going to start journalling. I’m not incredibly arty, but I’m hoping to use some craft materials (I may have ordered the July kit from Simon Says Stamp!!), and various ephemera, souvenirs, photos etc to illustrate my life as and when I have the time to. Choosing something like this means I can pop my bits and pieces into my handbag and craft as and when I can.
I do feel inspired, even moreso after the Brighton Bloggers Bash (which the lovely Lauren blogged about!) and meeting such lovely people *waves to new found friends*. Which reminds me, I bought a voucher for an intro to crochet course at the BBB venue (Super+Super HQ) via LivingSocial… I’m not sure if they will realise what they are in for once I get my hands on a hook….!
Yes, this is my second washi tape post in as many weeks, but I thought I’d show you the washi tape I’d ordered. I mean, who can resist beautiful washi paper tape for paper crafts?!

This time 8 days ago I was sitting in a pub beer garden chatting with friends and celebrating a birthday (not mine). As more alcohol was ingested, different topics were covered, and one of them was craft trends. I got everyone up to speed with the fact that this year chevrons, grey, yellow and washi tape are all ‘in’.
