Weekend wonderings – What Inspires You?

weekend inspiration

The weather here is gorgeous and I’m currently enjoying a long weekend away at a flat where I have a lovely bedroom – basically it’s a home away from home. After a wander around the many gift and charity shops in the town, I ended up with only a couple of things for the mantlepiece decorating that I had aimed to do. I am full of inspiration though! Tomorrow we should be going to a boot fair, and perhaps I’ll be able to get some things there. Plus I am going to make some things for the mantle myself, so the place looks more homely when we next visit.

I know that many people keep logs of what inspires them – whether in a book, on a spreadsheet, on their Pinterest page…. what I’d like to know is what inspires you? Do you go out and look for inspiration? Do you go to specific blogs and websites or do you look around shops and the surrounding area?

I’d love to know!!

  1. good weather inspires me! if it's sunny and i go out and sun bathe/go to a pub with outside seating or beer garden, and also grocery shopping for healthy food, then i get really inspired. social media inspires me as well. and my email groups 🙂

  2. Sunshine inspires me, and so does my surroundings. Blogs and social media too I guess. I don't think I have set inspirations, it entirely depends on my mood.

    1. Have to agree with you on that one, it does depend on moods for me too. It could be food, something I've seen on TV, or something entirely different like the weather 🙂 Thanks for visiting my blog!

  3. I tend to feel more creative if the weather is good but this can be any time of year (not just summer sunshine) as I love the different things that each of the seans bring.

I love blog-hopping but books are also a great source of inspiration for me.

  4. Animals, nature, the "little things" in life inspire me… I think creative influences are all around, if we are open to the possibility and mindful of how important even the most seemingly mundane details are. I also find that fellow artists are great resources for inspiration… including your lovely site 🙂
