So last year my doggy gift guide was a popular one, and I thought I’d help all my dog loving readers get some gift ideas to add to their list or to buy for the dogs and dog lovers in their lives!
Gifts for the Dogs in your Life
Pit Pat Dog Activity Monitor
A while back I wrote a blog post about the dog monitoring app by Pedigree, and mentioned how it would be great to have a tool similar to a Fitbit but for dogs! Well, the lovely people at Morethan (Mackey’s insurance company) sent us a Pit Pat to try out!
What is a Pit Pat?
To put it simply, the Pit Pat is an activity monitor for your dog. You can attach it to their collar/harness, and see how much exercise they do! It works in sync with your smartphone, and basically can deliver exercise activity to your phone, via Bluetooth.
We really enjoyed seeing the exercise Mackey actually did, and I’m going to be trying this out the next time he goes to stay with his pet sitter, too!
MoreThan have created a really interesting blog post about dogs and their owners, make sure to give it a read if you’re a dog owner!
Barbour Dog Coat
I really want to get Mackey a lovely coat for our walks – currently he has two jumpers – one from Boohoo (as featured in last year’s gift guide) and one from Pets at Home. This Barbour International dog coat* is made from waxed cotton and looks really easy to look after, so it’s a plus in my books! Mackey loves a good roll in the mud when we go on walks, so this would be ideal.
Chuckit Ultra Dog Balls
Mackey absolutely loves these Chuckit ultra balls*, and he’d be super happy to get these as a gift!
Gifts for the Dog Loving Humans in your Life
Paper Cut Pet Portrait by Twenty Fingers
We’re currently building up our picture wall in our living room, and our paper cut portrait of Mackey by Twenty Fingers hangs there with pride! All you need to do is send over a photo of your pet, friend, or family member, and the team there can create a gorgeous laser cut image of them. Twenty Fingers also do family trees and gorgeous new baby gifts, and their work is super stunning.
Personalised Pet Portrait Cushion by Helen Penny
This is something on my own wishlist – a personalised pet portrait cushion by the super-talented Helen Penny*. Helen will hand draw a pet portrait, and then make a gorgeous cushion from it. All of her cushions are designed by her and she puts them together herself. I follow Helen on Instagram, and suggest that you do too, as well as buy something from her Etsy shop, Helen Penny Shop*.
Handstamped Personalised Pet Owner Keyring
Another thing on my own wishlist is a lovely hand stamped pet owner keyring* by Sparkle and Dot Designs on Etsy. There’s lots of other choices of these, so these are also perfect for wedding presents, birthday gifts, or a congratulations present.
Donut Dog Lapel Pin by Toby iLikeCats
Toby is one of my favourite Brighton Etsy creators, and this donut dog lapel pin* is absolutely adorable!
