Brighten Someone’s Day with Prestige Flowers

how to brighten someones day

It’s not often that I get given flowers – I don’t do Valentines, I’ve not bought a car for a while, and I don’t teach anymore, so there aren’t many options for the gift givers in my life to buy them for me. That doesn’t mean that I can’t give them to other people, or to myself!

I’ve been super busy at work recently and so my free time has been taken up with the day-to-day stuff and attempts at relaxation, so when the lovely people at Prestige Flowers offered to send me a bunch of their gorgeous new range, I couldn’t resist.

Prestige offer a wide range of flowers and gifts, for all kinds of occasions. As a former teacher, I would have loved to have received one of their gifts (which include bouquets of chocolate) at the end of the year! And flower-wise, they don’t just offer bouquets – there are house plants and silk flower arrangements, too. If you don’t like or want to give flowers or chocolate, there are some really gorgeous fruit boxes and crates – yum!

Prestige flowers perigueux

I was sent the gorgeous Perigueux bouquet through the next day flowers service. You can order by 9pm one day to receive flowers the next day – pretty good, right? So if you forget that it’s someone’s birthday, or you want to cheer someone up at short notice, you can do that. Such a life saver!

Anyway, back onto the bouquet. I was on annual leave the week I’d arranged to have the flowers delivered, and the bouquet turned up bright and early and came complete with a vase (which costs £5.99 to add to the order – you might as well for that price!). Thank goodness. I’m not the kind of person who keeps vases in the house, since I don’t usually have fresh flowers, only houseplants and my feeble attempts of growing things in the garden!

The flowers featured in the bouquet are sorbet and avalanche roses, veronica, alstroemeria, and thlaspi green bell, and make a gorgeous mix of pink, orange and white. The bouquet looked so pretty, even with my meagre attempts of flower arranging once I’d removed the cellophane wrap and placed them in the vase. My beautiful flowers lasted just over a week, with regular water top ups. Some of the flowers started to wilt as we approached the 2 week mark, but I removed those and continued to enjoy the rest of the bouquet – so it was kind of like having two for one! So if you’re worried about how long the flowers last (as I have had bad experiences with some shop bought flowers before), you don’t need to worry!

Overall I was very impressed with the quality of the flowers, the delivery, and how long the bouquet lasted. Although I was gifted this bouquet by Prestige Flowers, I do believe that I will be a returning customer as one of my cousins is celebrating their 18th birthday at the end of the month! It’s just a difficult decision trying to decide which bouquet to order her….

Disclaimer: I was gifted the flowers by Prestige for review, however, all words and opinions are my own.
