Dreamy Creative Wedding Chic at Happy Ever After Wedding Fair

Happy Ever After Wedding Fair

When planning a wedding or party, it’s really important to get the little details right! I’ve seen lots of people get engaged, start planning their weddings, and ask for ideas for crafty wedding supplier ideas. The lovely Claire who is the brains behind the Fairytale Fair recently held her first wedding fair – the Happy Ever After Fair – and I thought I’d showcase some of my favourite of the makers I met there.

Handmade, Crafty Wedding Ideas & Suppliers

Here are just some of my favourite makers and designers from the Happy Ever After Fair! There were lots of other makers there too, and many of them also attend the Fairytale Fair, which is a local craft and makers fair held in Brighton, Patcham and Worthing.

Wedding Invites

Illustrait Me invites and prints

Illustrait me offer personalised wedding invites and prints; they remind me a little of Julian Opie’s style! Their prints would make really cool decor (they’d look great by the guestbook), or great gifts for those who take part in and help out with the wedding. They’ll create cool images based on descriptions and photos that you send them, and they really show off the personality behind the people in them!

gorgeous floral wedding invites

Merle Made Tales‘ gorgeous illustration style really caught my eye – how pretty are these floral themed wedding invites (above and below)? These would be perfect for a boho or country fete style wedding, wouldn’t they?!

You can find Merle Made Tales on Etsy*, too!

laser cut rose gold wedding invites

Coco Invites You offer a wide variety of different styles of wedding invite. I particularly liked the rose gold laser cut invites pictured above, and the craft and script style of the invites pictured below. As you can see, they also offer floral confetti (enclosed in glassine envelopes), and personalised wooden place holders.

Crafted Wedding Favours

Confetti isn’t as popular nowadays compared to the weddings I remember from the 80s and 90s. However, I love these personalised glassine bags containing pretty petals which can be used as a biodegradable confetti!

wedding favour badges

I went to a wedding last year and the favours were really cute badges, themed with designs to represent the interests of the special couple. Along the same lines as this, Wedding in a Teacup can make really cute badges (as pictured above), or as a really cute favour idea (or hen party gift) they also make personalised compact mirrors (as pictured below). They also offer seed packet favours, which are their most popular item!

Wedding Accessories

dried flower bridal bouquet

Lotus Floral Art create gorgeous dried floral bouquets, confetti, headpieces and boutonnieres which last a lot longer than just one day! There’s no need to go through the painful process of drying out the flowers yourself, and compared to trying to dry flowers at home (believe me, I tried to dry my bridesmaids bouquet when I was a bridesmaid at my sister’s wedding!) they’ve retained the gorgeous colour of the flowers.

woodland stag flower crown

I know that these gorgeous headpieces by Lulalupin will be on a lot of brides wishlists – particularly the boho-esque deer antler floral headpiece pictured above. You can design your own flower crown, and the talented maker behind Lulalupin will create a gorgeous piece to crown the beautiful bride (or groom)!

lacy vintage wedding garters

If you’re looking for a garter, then these by Unmentionables Lingerie are super pretty. They are repurposed from vintage fabrics, and as you can see from the photo above, this item can tick off something old and something blue! You can find them online at the Unmentionables Lingerie shop, and also at Snoopers Attic in Brighton.

Wedding Decor Ideas

This gorgeous floral heart wreath by Lotus Floral Art would make a wonderful piece of decor for a wedding. I can see this tying in with so many of the themes I see people pinning and repinning on Pinterest!

sweet covered miniature wedding cake

My friends Caroline and Alice who run Tiny Treat Boutique* and Letterbox Kits* were also at Happy Ever After Fair. These miniature wedding cakes, pictured above and below, are absolutely gorgeous! They would make beautiful favors for smaller weddings, or why not ask Caroline to recreate your own wedding cake so that you have a beautiful souvenir of one of the most important elements of a wedding?

You can also find Tiny Treat Boutique* and Letterbox Kits* on Etsy!

If you love supporting small, creative businesses, then I really recommend that you check out Fairytale Fair and Happy Ever After Fair! I really love regularly attending the Fairytale Fair at Brighton Open Market and meeting all of the awesome small businesses there.

You can also find lots of gorgeous wedding suppliers on Etsy; this Etsy Editors’ Rustic Weddings* selection features lots of gorgeous stuff!
