Making Spring Bark

DIY easter chooclate bark candy

I really loved making peppermint bark in the Winter/at Christmas time and though that it would be fun to make something more Spring like for this time of the year. Now I’m not religious, but of course you could call this Easter bark since next weekend is in fact Easter – it has come around very quickly for me this year even though I knew it would be early!

Anyhow, I collected up some bits and bobs that I knew I wanted to make the bark with and got cracking. This is what I chose to use for my Spring bark:

Easter bark ingredients

  • Rainbow sprinkles and pink glimmer from Asda
  • Dr Oetker sugar polka dots
  • Cadburys Creme Eggs and Mini Eggs
  • White chocolate
  • Silve Spoon strawberry buttons and Silver Spoon orange buttons

It is so easy to make the bark itself. Melt the different types of chocolate and spread them onto some greaseproof paper. Smash the eggs up into chunks and add them and the sprinkles on top. Then chill until nice and set. Break into pieces. Enjoy.

Here’s what mine looked like:

It tasted great! I love the colours of the bark and the different flavours from the buttons really made it not only look nice and colourful but also brought different tastes to it.
