Making your own bread at home is one of the most satisfying and rewarding things that you can do, if only because of the smell! Vegan Apple Scone Recipe – My Family Favourite

Growing up, my Mum taught me a lot I now know about cooking. She’d have this amazing cook book which she’d actually gotten when she first started secondary school in the late 1960s. I’ve come up with a nifty gift guide which should be able to help with at least a couple of people. And for me, when I see something someone else has discovered, my efficiency-seeking brain gets happy – more time for me, more time for craft, more time for baking, and more time for Netflix!

Anyway, let’s get on with the goodies.

Cake and Bake Show London 2013

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Cake and Bake Show London 2013 and I thought I would share with you what I saw when I went.

There was so much to see and I managed to meet some great people, including some past and present stars of the Great British Bake Off! I don’t have photos with them with me but at least I have some great memories, and last year’s winner Mr John Whaite even follows me on Twitter now! Go team #GBBO!
